Black Tie Engagement | Amanda + Trevor

Engagements

Amanda and Trevor wanted snow for their engagement session. Which, usually in Chicago, is a completely reasonable wish between the months of November and April. This year, however, there has been a complete lack of snow in our city. So what did they get instead? 65 and sunny! I think we’ll take it 😉

Amanda said she and Trevor had decided to go really formal in their outfits and made the suggestion of Danada Forest Preserve as our shooting location. It’s a gorgeous park with a fun horse farm and event venue on site. She thought the dead, mid-winter park vibe would look really cool juxtaposed with their formal wear (and I 100% agreed!).

So I knew they were going to show up dressed to impress, but WOW was I stunned when I saw them! They looked like they belonged in Hollywood on the red carpet! They were absolutely stunning during their session and such natural models. You wouldn’t guess it from looking at the photos and how amazing Amanda looks the whole time, but we had to do quite a bit of hiking to get to a few of these spots! Amanda was such a trooper walking up and down hills in her wedges and even brought a giant blanket to wrap around her dress when walking through shrubbery to keep it from snagging!

The whole session was an absolute blast and I loved watching these two interact and laugh together. Their wedding is going to be so much fun this fall and I’m so excited to be a part of it!

Enjoy these session highlights 🙂

Cheers, Amanda and Trevor!

These photos are stunning! I love the black tie attire against the field. Snow would have been gorgeous too, but at least they are warm 🙂

Haha right? If we can’t have snow, at least we can have spring weather! Way better than 25 degrees and no snow 🙂
