Remember Danielle and Mike and their lovely Spring Valley Nature Center engagement session? We met up again this past weekend in the midst of a forest preserve, but this time it was to celebrate their wedding! These two planned a gorgeously rustic wedding full of colorful wildflowers and whimsical decor. The Fox River Forest Preserve, with its beautiful stone pavilion and rustic picnic tables, served as a perfect setting for their celebration.
Danielle put so much time and effort into the decor for her day, putting together all the centerpieces and bouquets by hand! Didn’t they turn out beautiful? I was obsessed with all the colors! And can we talk about the styles for the day?! Danielle’s stunning fitted lace gown, her bridesmaids’ pretty pink dresses, and the guys’ casual look complete with suspenders.
All of it was perfect!
I could not have been more excited to spend the day with these two. Individually, they are two of the sweetest people I have ever met. And as a couple, they are a dream. I absolutely adore the way these two interact and the way Mike looks at and talks to Danielle. They both just ooze joy and love and you can’t help but smile when you are around them. I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the day and the palpable emotion and love between these two that I found myself crying on more than one occasion during the wedding (sorry not sorry!).
Danielle and Mike, thank you so much for allowing me into your lives and giving me the chance to capture this special day for you. You, your friends and your family are wonderful and I wish we could do this all over again next month because it was SO MUCH FUN! Enjoy these highlights! I cannot wait to show you the rest!

Hi Macey! Great question! They actually purchased white tarps and put them up themselves on the one side of the pavilion, leaving the rest open! If you don’t want to DIY it, you could look into tent rental companies and see if it’s possible to just rent the sidewalls to wrap around.
