If there was ever proof that classic elegance never goes out of style, THIS wedding is it. I should have known from their Union Station engagement shoot that elegance was going to be the name of the game for Hannah and Pat. These two incorporated so many beautiful classic elements. From the black and gold invitations (made by the bride’s mother by the way – how talented is she?!?) to the sleek black tuxes and Hannah’s incredible Hayley Paige gown, every bit of this day was as lovely as this couple is.
It may have rained all day, but that did not stop this couple or their awesome wedding party from having an amazing day. With a little bit of planning and a little bit of luck, we managed to score some space at Wilder Park Conservatory, which was the PERFECT setting to get some beautiful (and rain-free) portraits.
It’s always so hard when looking back at a wedding to pick favorite moments. For this one, Hannah’s heart-wrenching first look with her dad definitely took the cake. It was the sweetest moment between two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I really need to start having tissues tied to my camera! The vows were also incredibly moving (I’m pretty sure I had to put my camera down for a minute to pull myself together). Hannah and Pat wrote their own vows (in the cutest little vow books by the way!) and, yeah, there is pretty much a 100% chance of me crying when couples write their own vows.
Hannah and Pat, you are two amazing and kind people and together you make an incredible couple. I’m absolutely honored that you chose me to be a part of your day. Enjoy your highlight reel!
