When you’ve got a gorgeous couple in love and killer views, the freezing cold and blustery wind are an afterthought. When Rohana and I first connected about doing a photo session during her visit to Chicago, we knew it may still be a smidge cold at the beginning of April, but we had NO idea we were in for one of the coldest and windiest days of the past couple months! This weather was absolutely brutal y’all! We did, however, have the sun peek out a few times during our session, giving us some delicious golden light and a beautiful painted sky, so we’ll take that as a win 🙂
Rohana and Brandon absolutely embraced the less-than-ideal day and made the weather look insanely good! It probably helps that Rohana is also a photographer (check her out at Comfort and Cashmere Images!), so she knows that sometimes, this is par for the course.
I love doing photo sessions for other photographers! Especially when they’re as sweet and wonderful as Rohana! And even more so when it’s their first time to Chicago! I love getting to showcase my city (even when it doesn’t cooperate), and what better place to do that than with the amazing views over at Adler Planetarium?! Sure it may have made things all the more windy and cold, but sometimes it’s worth a few minutes of frostbite 😉
Rohana and Brandon, thank you for spending the evening with me! It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and capturing your love!
