This engagement session was a particularly special one for me as I had the privilege of having friends in front of my camera! It’s always an honor when your friends trust you with capturing such a special time in their lives. For Matt and Teray’s session, Chicago finally got with the times and gave us a lovely spring afternoon. Which, if you were around me at all during the month of April, you know was a huge deal. I was seriously on the verge of snapping if we had one more snowstorm!

For this session, we started by the Chicago Riverwalk, ending by the Wrigley Building and getting a few classic shots down bustling Michigan Avenue. For the second half of our session, we went to Oak Street Beach, which offers another unique, gorgeous view of our skyline. Because Matt and Teray met about 2 doors down from the Board of Trade, we obviously had to stop by there for a few quick snaps. I love getting to incorporate something meaningful like that into a session!

Matt and Teray were an absolute blast to photograph – the two of them are so wonderful together, and doesn’t Teray have the most infectious smile and laugh?! Also, these two totally have the rom-com kind of love story. They had tons of mutual friends and even worked in the SAME building downtown. You can just imagine watching that movie and seeing them cross paths every day and being like OMG WHEN WILL THEY FINALLY MEET?! 😉 Well they met, and were obviously so perfect for each other. It makes my heart all mushy inside!
