Meet Nicole

Hey y'all! I'm Nicole & I capture authentic moments for classically elegant, unconventionally adventurous couples who believe in stylish simplicity.

Elegant Winter Wedding at Royal Fox Country Club | Amyanne & Rich

Weddings

I’m so excited to share today’s wedding with you! It was full of so much love, happiness, sophistication, and class. And, more importantly, filled with wonderful, kind people. I couldn’t be more thrilled for Amyanne and Rich and was so honored to get to spend the day with them and their sweet families. Scroll through to see/read some highlights from the day!

The Groom

Rich looked straight out of a GQ magazine all day with his sleek navy/black suit combo. I love the use of a different colored coat with the classic black pants and black bowtie. I loved the little personalized touches he included such as his watch and cufflinks as well as his embroidered initials. It’s a big day for you too, grooms, you deserve to wear something extra special!

The Bride

Ok how sweet are Amyanne and her mother together? I love these intimate moments, capturing those final touches of preparation. Amy was wearing family pearls, so how appropriate that her mother was the one to help her put those on. Amy was the embodiment of classic, timeless elegance in her sweetheart gown with the lace bolero overlay. That off the shoulder silhouette is so stunning. Her loose low bun was the most beautiful complement to that neckline and was elevated even more by that gorgeous headpiece. She was a true vision from head to toe!

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the most picturesque little chapel you could ever hope for. Its white walls and large windows made my natural light loving heart absolutely sing! The service was filled with beautiful readings and sweet reminders of love.

The Decor

After “I Do”, Amy and Rich made their grand exit to the sound of their guests ringing sleigh bells – so perfect for the winter season. We made our way over to Royal Fox Country Club where their reception vision had been brought to life with delicate gold chiavari chairs, sequence runners, colorful floral arrangements, and large statement candelabras. The white walls of the space and the abundant natural light was, again, a dream!

The Portraits

After a quick moment to freshen up, we geared up and went out to brave the chilly winter day. Don’t let that glowy sun fool you – we were well below 30 degrees by this point. I’m always so grateful for couples (and their friends) who put on their brave faces and endure the temps with me! I think, if you’re able to, you should make every effort to go outside for at least a few minutes. That beautiful outdoor light in the winter just can’t be beat. Especially with light like this. Plus, how stylish are those wraps? Who wouldn’t want an excuse to rock one of those?!

After sending their friends back inside to warm up, Amy and Rich got to stick around in the cold for juuuust a little bit longer 🙂 I’m absolutely obsessed with the way these two interact together. They have such a beautifully quiet, elegant presence about them. They looked so timeless, with the lace, the pearls, the fur, the gloves, and the bowtie. And they may not have gotten the snow they were hoping for but wowza were they blessed with the most dreamy light I’ve seen in a LONG time in Chicago. Especially in the winter! The golden hues were to die for and created such an amazing glow around these two. I love the wide open background and the scattered patches of snow, creating such an organic feel. Perfection all around!

The Reception

After we reached our winter limit and used up as much of the fading light as possible, we hopped back inside for a few quick snaps in the beautiful library space at the country club. And then it was time for these two to relax and enjoy their celebration! From the wonderful toasts to the first dance, I loved getting to capture the joy and laughter that was radiating from Amy and Rich the whole evening. There were so many purely happy candid moments between these two. And I consider it a true privilege to get to pause those moments for them that they may have otherwise forgotten about.

The rest of the night was full of smiles and laughter and dancing! This is always one of my favorite times of the day because it is just pure, unfiltered fun and it’s when I get to capture more of the guests in their element. I particularly love image below of Rich laughing with his dad and brother and the shot a little ways down of Amyanne’s mother having the BEST time on the dance floor! These are the kinds of authentic images I love capturing and my hope is that they transport everyone back to that feeling of joy and excitement.

Congratulations A & R! Wishing you nothing but happiness! xo
