Chic, Modern Rooftop Elopement at the Gwen Hotel

Sleek lines. Stunning rooftop views. Tons of natural light. Cheerful yellow florals. And a dress with a bow. There was SO much to love about this chic, modern rooftop elopement inspiration shoot at the Gwen Hotel!

The Kate McDonald gown from Ivory Loft Bridal was an absolute dream with its open back and that giant structured bow. It was perfectly chic and modern with just the right touch of girly and fun, especially when paired with those big dramatic hoop earrings. And the simple, classic bridal shoe from James Ciccotti was a great final touch to the bridal look.

Meanwhile, the groom was styled to perfection by stylist Ariana Anderson in his crisp blue and black suit and his bowtie. And that lovely, textured yellow boutonniere by Debi Lilly popped beautifully against his jacket!

And speaking of florals, how stunning is the bouquet from Debi Lilly? I love all the whimsical texture of the greens with that pretty pop of yellow! It’s such a happy bouquet and it made such a statement!

Juan Jose created a stunning, sleek, wrapped ponytail which was the perfect bridal hairstyle for this dress and this location.

Aga Rhodes highlighted the bride’s natural beauty with a soft, neutral palette on the face and then added a bold red lip color. Again, the perfect way to complement the modern style of this shoot.

The bridal suite at the Gwen Hotel, with its accompanying balconies, provided the most stunning rooftop backdrops for the first look and portraits. On top of that, the sheer amount of natural light in the suite is an absolute dream! Additionally, for those that want a little bit of extra drama, the hotel lobby and staircase provide some very cool architectural elements to utilize.

There were truly so many favorites from this that I was excited to share. From the sweet first look to the glimpse of the classic Tribune Tower to the champagne toast and the pit stop in the hotel bar, this was an absolute dream to photograph!
