If you know anything about me you know Paris, tea, and Disney are 3 of my top 5 favorite things in the world (the remaining two would be dark chocolate and Broadway). So I was simply a kid in a candy store at Katelyn’s tea party themed bridal shower at the incredible DL Loft (a Parisian-inspired event space). With nods to Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast (my favorite!) and whimsical decor from none other than the talented Debi Lilly, this whole event was a dream!
Katelyn’s inspiration for the shower was Alice in Wonderland. In the movie, Alice states “When I used to read about fairy tales, I never thought I would end up in the middle of one.” Katelyn says this line sums up her life perfectly. The bride to be said: “I have always loved fairytales and now I am in the middle of one. With Rob I feel like I’m living in a fairytale. He is my dream man in every way.”
I don’t think it can get any more perfect than that, folks.
I absolutely ADORED all the details and decorations at this event. Katelyn and Debi did an incredible job thinking through all the little details and executing them to perfection. Two of my favorite components of the day were the mismatched teacups and the book-and-flower-lined tablescape. Those stunning teacups belong to Katelyn’s grandmother. Maybe it’s the tea-lover in me, but I think those teacups are the most exquisite ones I have ever seen. I could have photographed that shelf the entire time! And I loved how they utilized the teacups for the cupcakes. Cutest cupcake holders ever! And then that tablescape…I loved how Debi mixed books into the arrangement. Flowers are always beautiful, but those books added the perfect amount of whimsy needed to bring the theme of the day to life.
I could go on and on about how beautiful this day was, but I’ll let you go ahead and get a short preview for yourselves 🙂 There is so much more to come from this day so keep an eye out!
Katelyn and Rob, congratulations to you both! Wishing you the happily ever after that you deserve!
