It’s pretty rare to have Lincoln Park all to yourself. I guess that’s one of the perks of a winter engagement π
Sara and Joe call the neighborhood of Lincoln Park home and frequently walk through the park with their dog, so it made sense to incorporate this location for their engagement session!
We started our session at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, which is where Joe proposed to Sara a few months ago. I love that we have beautiful indoor spaces like this in Chicago for these cold weather photoshoots. We walked through the gardens, making sure to get a few shots in the exact spot where the proposal happened π
The second half of our session was spent walking through the park.Β Lincoln Park has such a wonderful mix of city views and rustic nature feels. I always enjoy photographing there (and even more so when it’s empty!). Sara and Joe are proof that if you play your cards right and come prepared, 30 minutes in the cold doesn’t have to feel so bad π We alternated between coats on and coats off, had a couple of hand warmers at the ready…and voila! You’d never know how cold it was!
Sara and Joe, thank you for being such troopers and putting up with the weather! You two are so sweet and I had the best time with you! I can’t wait to finish your gallery!
Congratulations!
