Sunny Summer Engagement in Lincoln Park | Lindsay & Marcus

Engagements

It doesn’t get much more classic Chicago summer than this sweet, sunny summertime engagement session in Lincoln Park! I’m so excited to share a handful of my favorites from my time with Lindsay and Marcus!

At the end of one of the hottest weekends I can remember here in Chicago, we lucked out with a short rain storm that brought us a cooler, breezy summer afternoon, perfect timing for Lindsay and Marcus’s session! We spent the afternoon in Lincoln Park, walking around the boardwalk and then ending at North Avenue Beach to enjoy Lake Michigan and the stunning Chicago skyline.

I love the boardwalk area all year round, but during the summer it really comes to life with a beautifully rich color palette. Similarly with the beach, I love photographing here throughout the year and seeing how different of a feel it has from season to season. In summer it gets a very painterly look with dramatic fluffy clouds and hints of aqua. In the winter the area has a very cool, icy color scheme. All of this helps keep this location fresh and interesting and makes each session here so unique!

The couple wore shades of blue during our time at the park. Those tones were the perfect complement to the lush greens around us and created a beautiful color palette to celebrate summer! At the beach, they opted for a more casual look but still kept with that light and breezy summer feel, with soft muted tones and that sweet little floral pattern on Lindsay’s shirt.

I had the best time hanging out with these two! They are so much fun to talk to and are so sweet together, as you can see in the photos 🙂 They make Chicago look goooooood!

Lindsay and Marcus, congratulations and thank you for trusting me with these memories! Enjoy your sneak peeks! xo
