When Covid-19 turned all wedding planning upside down, Kelly & Broderick pivoted. The couple opted to keep their original wedding date and host an intimate wedding with immediate family and their closest friends. They kept their getting ready location – Hotel Zachary – because they are both Cubs fans and loved this new hotel that overlooks the stadium. They kept their ceremony location – the church Kelly grew up attending. And they kept their plans for portraits at Montrose Harbor, showing off the stunning Chicago skyline. All of this combined to create one gorgeous, joyous event. Even though it was smaller than they initially planned, it was no less full of meaning and sentiment.
I adored every moment of this special day, from seeing Kelly’s stunning bridal look for the first time to soaking in all the chilly winter sun next to Lake Michigan. Kelly and Broderick demonstrate that sacrificing in size does not have to mean a sacrifice in style or quality! They made this day exactly what they wanted, just on a smaller scale. And I just love the way it all turned out!
