Spring engagement sessions in Chicago are not for the faint of heart. You have to be prepared for any temperature between 40 and 80 degrees, and you have to be ready to pivot your plans in a snap. Mary and Nate were ready for whatever the city threw at them and they absolutely rocked their engagement session in the River North neighborhood of Chicago.
We started our session at Ohio Street Beach. I love the mix of beach, lake, and skyline this location offers. We then took a stroll along the Riverwalk, taking advantage of the stunning shade of the water. And then we ended at the Kinzie Street Bridge, which is an iconic photo op in River North. This spot offers so many cool architectural elements to play with as well as some unique views of downtown.
Based on our time at the beach, it seemed like we were in for a perfectly mild-weathered session. But, of course, as our evening progressed, the wind grew stronger and the clouds grew darker. None of this bothered Mary and Nate, though. They powered through, laughing and having a great time together.
I absolutely loved spending the afternoon with this sweet couple and getting a glimpse into their relationship. Congratulations Mary & Nate!
