Think photo shoots need a lot of planning and prep? Think again! This shoot came together about a day before it happened! Marcelle messaged me saying she and Scott were traveling to Chicago for their 10th anniversary and she thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot while they were here. She wanted “classy with Chicago written all over it” — um, yes please, sign me up!!! Drawing some inspiration from Hannah and Pat’s session, we chose Union Station as our main location and followed it up with some shots in the Loop.

Marcelle was an absolute dream in her rose gold sequence gown, paired with her gorgeous blue earrings. And Scott’s dapper black suit complimented her perfectly. Despite the cold and the wind, these two kept a smile on their faces the whole time and were such naturals in front of the camera. It doesn’t hurt that Marcelle is also a photographer so she knew what I was going to say before I said it 😉

I loved getting to hang out with these two, chat photography and art with Marcelle, and hear about St. Louis (which I’m now convinced I need to go visit!). {Side note: I also still don’t believe that these two have 3 children! I’m hoping I can rock a sequence gown half as well as Marcelle does when I’m a mom!}

Marcelle and Scott, congratulations on 10 years. That is such an amazing portrayal of love and commitment. Here’s to a lifetime more!
