When it comes to picking a space to get ready in on the morning of your wedding, don’t just blindly pick a hotel. Not all hotel rooms are created equally when it comes to providing a good space for photos. Not all windows are created equally either. Otherwise, if you’d prefer not to have to think too hard about it, just keep scrolling to find some spots that I’ve personally vetted and approved and consider to be the best Chicago hotels for your wedding day prep!
The Gwen
There is no bad option, in my opinion, at The Gwen Hotel. The rooms are essentially a softbox of beautiful light. I highly recommend booking a suite with a terrace. Also, the Gwen Lux Suite on the 16th floor is beyond incredible if it’s in your budget.
LondonHouse
Suite or no suite, I love this hotel. The rooms have a bit of a modern flair without going overboard and the color palette is nice and earthy. And of course there’s big windows!
The Langham
Get. The. Bridal. Suite. It’s amazing! The expansive windows combined with the crisp clean palette of whites and creams make it an absolute dream for light and airy prep photos.
Sheraton Grand
If you can afford it, definitely get a bridal suite here! The living room spaces of those suites are really lovely. Either way, though, you can’t go wrong in this hotel. The rooms have a great clean, neutral color palette and lots of bright window light.
Hotel Lincoln
This is a super fun, quirky little boutique hotel. It’s got nice window light and really cool elements in the room that give it character. Bonus: It’s walking distance to Lincoln Park which is a wonderful spot for your portraits. Double Bonus: It’s dog friendly! So if you want your fur baby to be a part of your prep, definitely give this one a look!
Homewood Suites Magnificent Mile
This one may not have all the luxurious bells and whistles of some of the other spots (which is probably better on the wallet anyways!) but holy moly the wall to wall windows fill the room with such lovely natural light!
